Our cat Salmiakki loves Canagan, both the dry and wet version. We usually buy the kitten pouches but thought of trying something else. I read about the products directly on the Canagan page (and ask them if I need help as their customer service is very quick to respond and helpful) and it said that this food fits kittens and is complete food (täysravinto). After the cans arrived and Salmiakki had it and loved it, I accidentally checked the declaration in Finnish and was surprised to see it say "täydennysravinto) (complementary food - meaning it lacks the necessary vitamines and minerals, also taurine). I contacted Canagan and they were as surprised as I was and a day later I got a reply from them that apparently this specific Canagan in cans (so not the pouches, only the cans) are different for the Swedish and Finnish market from the original Canagan can product which is complete (täysravinto) food. I honestly cant believe this. Why is this product different and why is it that even the manufacturer doesnt know (but had to check after I informed them) that their product is different for this market I will not buy it again as its all a bit iffy. I usually order from zooplus, but occassionally resort to Petenkoira or Musti ja Mirri for Canagan and some things I cant find on zooplus, and I got so paranoid now with this that I checked every single cat food I bought in FInland (Catz, Little big paw, etc) to see that it corresponds to the original version as I dont want to fit the cat incomplete food. The page of the company that this was made for, zoosupport.se, cant be opened either (as I wanted to ask them why this difference), which doesnt inspire much confidence in their reliability either.
Canagan pouches are produced in Germany vs these cans for the Finnish market produced in Thailand.
